This might take a while to complete (I rarely take a sick day), but I found my newest and best (I think) ever sub plan. Are you like me? I rarely plan for those days when I have to be out and end up dashing around madly pulling things together last minute and being hectic when least want to.
This image inspired me to put a sub kit together that includes a lesson plan, markers and pre-cut papers. Now I'm always prepared with a grab and go lesson. The entire project stays in the box until 500 (or thereabouts) papers are collected and a final design is made.
The hands look fabulous, but I think we'll change it up a bit. Peace Sign? Dove? Butterfly? What would you do?
Very cool! How about a word? (PEACE, or ART, or SCHOOL NAME) I think this is a great idea. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOOOHHHHH!!! I love this idea!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI just got done setting up a sub binder for each of the 2 schools I work in. Best idea ever. I used sheet protectors for directions and a sample for certain suggested grades. No more will I think twice of taking a day off because of sub plans! I love the idea you spoke of with leaving the paper and having kids do them until you have a certain number.... Awesome. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI love this idea - I am a Girl Scout leader planning World Thinking Day activities. Would you mind sharing your directions? I am not sure how to get started / organize this.... THANK YOU in advance!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, this is a wonderful idea. Would you consider making one to share on our site at www.worksofHeARTproject.com for our #ShowYourHeart event? That would be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWould you share how to do the hands for sb kit? What papers do you prepare?
ReplyDeleteYes, I would also like to know the process in making this wonderful piece.
ReplyDeleteHow do you combine the papers?
ReplyDeleteDid you use graph paper or prepare your own template?
